Un plat généreux à base de bananes plantains mijotées avec de la viande, de l'huile de palme et des épices locales jusqu'à obtenir une sauce riche et savoureuse.
Kondré is a stew of green plantains and meat — goat, traditionally — simmered with a spice blend from western Cameroon: ginger, garlic, njangsa, Penja pepper. The plantains cook in the broth until they yield while holding their shape, taking up the fat from the meat. It is a Grassfields dish, served at ceremonies in the West and North-West, and now common in Douala. Rich, spiced without being fiery, and eaten with a spoon.
5 restaurants offer Kondré in Douala: 4 for delivery and 5 for pickup. Prices and hours are on each listing.
