Un plat traditionnel riche en saveurs, préparé avec des feuilles d'eru, du waterleaf, de l'huile de palme, des crevettes, de la viande ou du poisson, accompagné de water fufu.
Eru comes from the anglophone South-West and North-West and is now everywhere in Douala. Eru leaves (Gnetum africanum) are shredded very fine and cooked down with waterleaf, red palm oil, dried shrimp, and meat or smoked fish. The result is dense and richly oiled, and it is eaten with water fufu — a soft, faintly sour fermented cassava dough that balances the sauce. It is a filling dish, most often eaten at lunch. The places below serve it with water fufu made the same day.
5 restaurants offer Eru & Water Fufu in Douala: 4 for delivery and 5 for pickup. Prices and hours are on each listing.
