Bonapriso is Douala's upmarket residential quarter. Leafy and quiet, close to the administrative centre at Bonanjo, it houses much of the city's expatriate community and its wealthier families. The dining is the most international in Douala: carefully done Cameroonian cooking, European and Lebanese tables, patisseries and cafés. Prices run higher than elsewhere, service is more formal, and places often stay open late. It is also one of the quarters where home delivery is most established.
