Boisson à base de fleurs d’hibiscus, servie fraîche. Adaptez la description à votre recette.
Folere — bissap elsewhere in West Africa — is an infusion of dried hibiscus flowers, served very cold. Deep red and frankly tart, it is sweetened to taste and often scented with mint, ginger or pineapple. It is the natural companion to the spiced dishes: braised fish, grilled meats, ndolé. It is sold by the bottle or the litre and keeps a few days chilled. Non-alcoholic and thoroughly refreshing, it is as common at ceremonies as on an everyday table.
